Does any one have any useful formulas that provide a formal
determination of when a piece of equipment is worth replacing rather
than keeping or repairing?

 

One formula suggested to me is when:

 

Cost of Poor Quality (CPQ) + Cost of Ownership ( maintenance, repair) >
deprecation  then replace the equipment

 

Thoughts?
