If the ty-wrap is at the top of the board and not through the board, then the wrap may see less than 160 C. Either way, if there are teflon Ty-wraps, they will be able to handle it.
        Good luck,

Kelly,

There used to be a product called a silicone rubber 'mouse tail' that was silicone rubber cord that tapered at the ends and you could insert it into a pair of plated or non plated holes and pull on the tapered ends and the rubber would catch and bunch up into the opening of the hole restraining it from coming loose. The were novel back 15 years ago, I have not seen them for some time... I think the high temp resistance of the silicone rubber would be a nice way to hold larger parts in place while soldering similar to the way a plastic tie-down would under normal temps.

I looked for them on the internet but did not find any mention of them.
Sorry...

Subject: [TN] high heat withstanding ty-wraps

Has anyone come across any ty-wraps that will withstand wave solder temps?
We'll be operating around 270° C.
