Mike,

You are correct! And I use Indium 5.1 SAC for my SMT with excellent
results. I have tested other Suppliers, but found that Indium has best
overall performance and appearance of my LF products.

Tom

A little note of caution: there is some "it depends" according to paste
supplier and possibly your board finish. It is true that with some a 1:1 is
required, due to lack of spread. Others you can use the same or pretty much
the same as your Sn/Pb. If you have a large stencil library this can be a
significant factor.

Joel,

I have been using 1:1 aps for our LF for some time with no problems.
We are printing 15mil & 20mil pitch with excellent solder wetting to pads
and leads.

Subject: [TN] Stencil Design for Lead-Free

I am looking for information regarding stencil design for fine-pitch
lead-free applications. I am interested to see what most people are doing
for the aperture size. Are you reducing or going 1 to 1? If you are reducing
what is the reduction formula? Are you reducing the same regardless of
aperture stance to print direction? Any input would be much appreciated.
