Hi Andrew,
There are very effective removal processes through chemical means that
remove silicone and urethane based coatings and do not negatively affect
PWAs nor do they aggressively attack board markings, solder masks, etc.
There are processes effective with areas around and under BGAs that can be
done locally or on the total board. If you'd like more specific detail, you
can contact our facility off line to discuss.

Best,

Subject: [TN] Help with removing UR Conformal Coating

Has anyone had experience or success with removing conformal coating for PWA
that has been coated with UR coating especially using a chemical means. I
am particularly interested with how you handled coating around or under
BGA's.

Any help would be grateful.

Thanks.
