I am looking for a relaible method to remove the black insulation jacket from a leader cable. It has to be repeatable and somehow allow control on the depth of cut into the jacket, to avoid any nick on the 4 telfon insulated wires within it.
The black jacket appears to be rubber and is quite tough and elastic. I experiment with a wire stripper using different gauge settings but couldn't obtain consistent strip (certain % of telfon wires got damaged). The ID of the jacket is not perfectly round, there is always a risk over cutting into the wires inside.
The Cable OD is 0.22”, ID is approx 0.13”.
Any creative idea is appreciated.
Rgds,
Peter
