And we are trying to tell you all along that a microinch is a smaller unit of measure than a micron. There are 1/.0254 microinches per micron, or about 40 uinches per micron.

You seem to be confusing microinches with mils. One microinch is thousandth of mil, which is thousandth of inch. One microinch is 0.0254 microns.
