Hi Vladimir, Werner, Jean-Paul, IPC LF Listservers,

Thanks, guys.

This whole modelling thing, argument, and dispute reminds me of the science
and the engineering of transmission line equations.

Back years ago (80's) I was striving to find the Characteristic Impedance
of certain physical printed circuit board structures, since at the time, I
was the project leader in building a modification to a high speed piece of
very fast test equipment. In my examination of Characteristic Impedance
Literature it was interesting how over the many years, before me, that many
had developed different formulas. Motorolla had a simple one I could plug
into my HP calculator and it wasn't half bad (2-5% error) from TDR results
and it compared well to the other models.

SO, I think, SnPb is kind of solved in various ways.
And has closure between the models and the results.

Yet we still have to do this work in this new LF, Pb-free environment.

Yours in Engineering, Dave
