I use standards from our subcontractors. They know what they can do that
does not have a big effect on yield, I lean towards pushing the limits
because today's tighter limits are going to be tomorrows standard
limits. I know that there are absolute limits but we are not there yet.
Remember when 8&8 was common for volume and know 4&4 is common. Most of
the subcontractors have developed their standards by starting with the
IPC's then improving the limits to be competitive.

All,
I would like to get an idea on how may of you design PCB's using IPC
manuals or a company design standards driven from mfg or both? Does
anyone only use IPC standards to create designs?
Thanks
Steve
