Bear in mind that the IPC specs are guidelines and are general in
nature.
They won't tell you SPECIFICALLY how to do certain things.
It is up to a company and/or designer to "set in place" a specific
process, which should be based on industry standards & practises, one of
which is IPC.

We have written our own internal design guidelines based on IPC-2221
etc. Our guidelines include some criteria specifically for our products.

All,
I would like to get an idea on how may of you design PCB's using IPC
manuals or a company design standards driven from mfg or both? Does
anyone only use IPC standards to create designs?
Thanks
Steve
