Subject: [TN] Need ENEPIG sources

New to this forum and looking for recommendations, please. Hope this is the right place for this.

We are doing COB with thermosonic gold wire ball bonding using ENEPIG as a board finish. Our customer will not let us use thick soft gold due to gold embrittlement concerns on the solder joints.

When our board house gets the plating right our wire bonding goes great, but more times than not we're chasing plating variation within lots.

We've been to the Far East working with the vendor to improve their plating baths and etc, but it appears that we're beginning to wear out our welcome with the supplier.

Can any of you please recommend a Far East supplier (about 500K brds/yr) and a quick turn stateside ENEPIG PCB suppliers?

thanks in advance,

Andy LeVesque
