Looks like the camera optics needs to be refocused on the x-ray image
intensifier output plate...
The shape of the "balls" looks like it is a system a parallax issue...

setting/cleaning related. The non roundness could be that the BGA
carrier/mb is not laying flat on the x-ray table.

DS sent me these images to post on my web page. Go to:
http://www.stevezeva.homestead.com and click on "Picture Page 2" then
look for: "X-ray 1 and X-ray2".
To me, these images are very fuzzy, and hard to tell anything for sure.
The
spheres are definately not round like they should be, so that would be a
big flag to me. As to what could be causing these images is hard to say
because they are so fuzzy, but I wouldn't feel comfortable letting
something go that looks like this without further investigation.
Seeing how it's Friday, I got something on my page that's kinda' funny,
if not really stupid...

Dear All,
Can anybody tell me whether these x-ray images are acceptable. I found
that few outer ball are partially cut but still 90% pad is covered with
the solder . I could not find any reference in workmanship standard for
this kind of problem. Kindly help.
