Are your products Lead Free (Mercury, hex Chrome)?
Are they compliant with the European Union's Restriction of Hazardous
(RoHS) Substances?
Are you sure?
What have you done to ensure that your entire supply chain is sending
you compliant materials, components, parts, and subparts?
If your answer to any of the first of three questions is no, you risk
being shut out of the entire European market!
If you answered yes, then you know that complying with RoHS is one of
the most difficult transitions the electrical and electronics industry
has ever faced. It is affecting every aspect of the supply chain and the
relationships you have built with your suppliers and customers. You also
probably know that ensuring and being able to demonstrate compliance to
European regulatory authorities involves gathering, organizing and
storing a tremendous amount of data. Showing due diligence in the effort
to meet RoHS is your most effective tool if your company is ever
challenged.
IPC is presenting a new, one-day course where you will hear about the
free, industry-developed IPC-1752 Materials Declaration standard. You
will learn how to use IPC-1752 Materials Declarations forms to gather
necessary hazardous and restricted substance data from your suppliers,
as well as learn how to use IPC-1752 Materials Declaration forms to
demonstrate compliance to your customers. You will learn how to import
and export data from your company systems to the IPC-1752 Materials
Declaration forms and will complete a Materials Declaration form during
a hands-on workshop. Vendors also will present custom implementations of
IPC-1752 that could help your company save time and money.
