Hi Ray, IPC LF Listservers,
 Including our Diesel buyer JohnBurke

<For some large suppliers (i.e., semiconductors), they may have a statement
on their website but will not supply any test reports to their buyers. The
statement actually is unclear if all their existing products or the new
models comply with RoHS Directive. Should we accept such DoC as proof of
RoHS compliance?>

Ray you should and will want much more than a simple statement on their web
site or a separate piece of paper with each component shipment.

You have to find a way to go under their car hood, or company blanket to
find for yourself a strong level of comfort. A strong comfort that your
company can confirm strongly, to themselves and outsiders, that your
supplier has done what is necessary to meet RoHS. How you do this will
depend on how much your product should be changed due to the EU RoHS.

Yours in Engineering, Dave
