Hi Technos,

how do you see the very near, too near, future of the incoming inspection? Will an EMS be responsible for checking the material, or it's rather the responsibility of the OEM to control the material through compliant AVLs and certificates of compliance from the suppliers? Of course the EMS will make sure to use lead-free materials.

Now, in case the EMS will decide to inspect for RoHS compliance, what equipment is out there, that I could check? I only know of the hand helds from Niton that check for the metals, but not for the pbde and pbb.

And, in the same line, the testing procedure available on Soldertech's web is still valid? Was it approved?   Should I base the assessment of test equipment on the methods in this procedure?
