Maybe Napthalene?

Moth balls are made from naphthalene, a hydrocarbon derived from coal tar
that easily sublimates, or exudes gas acting as a fumigant.

Subject: "Dry" Naphtha

Howdy All!

I got a call and an email from somebody from one of our other facilities
asking about "Dry" Naphtha. I told her I had never heard of it.

She said that on the spec sheet for a Dow DC6-1104 RTV, it calls out to mix
80% of Dry Naphtha with it to use for conformal coating

I've done a search and can't find anything on Dry Naphtha, I called
Tomco-Harwell (where we usually get our chemicals), and called Dow Corning
as well, but nobody can tell me what Dry Naptha is, or where to get it.

Could it also be known as reagent grade Naphtha?

Even better still, has anybody out there worked with Dow DC6-1104 that can
help me out about how to apply it as a conformal coating?

Kind regards,
