Good day everyone,
I have a static shielding question. Does a stack of conductive trays
holding SMD ICs offer static shielding to the parts in the tray? We
recently received some SMD ICs that were in trays, stacked several
trays high and taped together using anti-static tape. This stack of
trays was not bagged. Aside from the moisture issues, will the trays
provide any static protection caused by triboelectric static during
shipping and handling?
Thanks,
Gary Camac
