OK, this has been a crazy week so far...
Our company had its annual 2 week shutdown and during that time, someone in purchasing was supposed to order WEEE labels for me - three weeks til the deadline.
I got back and they were waiting for confirmation that a certain size was OK, so consequently nothing was ordered - less than one week til the deadline.
I have been frantically trying to find some sort of standard in-stock pre-printed label - anything will do - any size, black on white, white on black, etc., that we can get in house this week....Nada. Zip. Zilch. August 30, I was quoted.
Now I am trying to see if we can print our own.
So far I've learned,
Our in-house thermal transfer printers will not handle graphics, only text...
A permanent durable Avery laser printer label is available, and maybe will work???

I've printed some logos on the Avery sheet, and now I want to test that they meet the durability spec.

Does anyone know what the petroleum spirit 'aliphatic solvent hexane' is, and what a common form of it might be?

Genny
