Hi John, IPC LF Listservers,

John, Take a look at the first section "Referenced Documents". You should
recognize these documents and authors as being part of the soldering
components on boards LeadFree WWide project. Even Peter Bush at SUNY-
Buffalo you should recognize from Univeral Instruments (UIC's) LF Work.

Then take a look at the Background on page:3 where it goes into tin
whiskers, which is mostly a component on board situation, and then read
furthur.

You should see that although it doesn't say what I wrote exactly, it is
applying to 2nd level and beyond assemblies. The USAF and the military are
heavy into the COTS program.

I mean you or I could call Wright-Patterson in Ohio yet I don't think it is
necessary.
