I never cease to wonder at the incredible propensity some people have to
live in a cacoon of their own making, and then expect everyone else to agree
that their particular cacoon is best for everyone.
Whether we like it or not, we are all in a global village, and in the end
this closed eco-system called Earth is affected by, and effects, everyone in
it. I can hear someone say "Sure, a few extra SUVs today adds to pollution
but hey, the effects of that won't be felt for another forty years. I'm
forty and will be dead by then - it's not my problem".
No, it isn't, but you are someone who can do something about it now, and not
leave it up to your children's children to make good when it's much much
harder.
I could go on and on, but I won't. One day people are going to look back and
say RoHS was a good thing, just like today we say what a great thing he did
when Roosevelt saved all those national parks from predatory loggers, to
quote only one of many examples.

You think you got it bad....

We over here in the UK are tired of the damn UN telling us this crud too and
we are the ones that have to put up with ROHS and a lot more yet.
We know what a farce it is & what a horrid mess it is going to make of the
future of electronics etc

RULED by other nations/groups??
Yeah, lucky buggers managed to escape from here... :-)
