A student has asked how far do they need to go to ensure no-cross
contamination between leaded and lead-free solders at a single
workstation? We have discussed the obvious, but the question become how
far to go? (Completely separate soldering stations is not an option.
Soldering operators will be soldering both lead-free and leaded at the
same workstation). The obvious we have discussed, separate:
Soldering station, tips and sponge
Solvent and brushes
Is there a possibility with cross contamination with use of hand tools
(e.g. cutters, pliers, tweezers, etc)?
Your comments are greatly appreciated.
