So where does this arrogance come from? We see it all the time! They
must think that in many cases they are the only game on the block and
don't have to be responsive.

It sort of reminds me of the old Lilly Tomlin skit where she worked for
the phone company. "We don't care, we don't have to, we're the phone
company!"

I wonder if there is anything we the consumers of their products can do?
It's pretty hard to boycott since in many cases they are the only game
it town.

Steve, I think you are on the right track sharing your conversations
with us. Maybe our design engineers will get wind of this sort of thing
and start specing their parts out of new products.
