True. We used a very expensive, non-flammable CFC replacement made by 3M.
I don't remember the price, but I think it was in the upper 2 digits ($80?)
per gallon. We tried to conserve as much as possible.

And I remember the fine print stating that flammable liquids were NOT a good
idea.

At a previous job we used Branson benchtop ultrasonic cleaners for cleaning
read-write heads for disk drives. I don't remember the model numbers, but
it was similar to the one you mentioned, but we didn't have the heaters.
They were larger, probably a 1 or 1.5 gallon model. We had several of
these, but probably only ran them only a couple of hours total per day. We
never had a problem with them. Remember to not run them without being
filled with water or another liquid, as that will reportedly damage the
ultrasonic transducer quickly.

Subject: [TN] Ultrasonic Cleaner

Happy 4th Everyone,

I am in the market for a benchtop ultrasonic cleaner and am interested in
purchasing a Branson 1510DTH (1/2 gallon capacity with a heater).

It will be removing post-reflow flux residue from stencils and other
equipment and will be operating 5-10 hours per day.

If anyone has any experience with this model or has a suggestion based on
their experience with another brand and model, please let me know.

As always, I appreciate whatever feedback I receive.
