In IPC-2221, figure 6.4 gives three charts to estimate the current capacity
of the traces for different temperatures and different oz values. But, how
can we calculate the via resistance or via current capacity?

Any one can provide data for high temperature fatigue of (100-120C) of
standard leadfree alloy compare to the Pb/Sn eutectic? Any grain size study
and crystallography study would really appreciated. Thanks.

Exempt for American automotive, perhaps. I'm not really sure.
Exempt for Japanese manufacturing? No. Right now, 75% of our products
utilize lead-free processing. The remainder are on schedule to change
within the next 18 months.
If you're not affected now, you soon will be.
