Ours are from the ZI-TECH Division of the Aikenwood Corporation in Palo
Alto California.  415-326-2151 although the area code is likely
different.  We purchased them through Start International as a "through
hole loupe" the last number I have for them is 800-259-1986.
Seems like I heard of a trick involving filling the via with mineral oil
with surface tension forming a lens on top and then using a regular
magnifier.

A long time ago an associate of mine had this lense
that allowed him to see the entire wall of a plated through-hole.

I can't make contact with him anymore and can't seem to find one.
If I knew what it was called it would really help.

Any input will be appreciated.
