What you say is true. However, if the component would survive a typical hand
soldering operation with 63/37 solder it would likely survive Pb-free hand
soldering. We do not increase the solder iron temperature when switching
from SnPb to Pb-free solder alloy.

hand soldering is the worst possible way to solder when trying to keep the
temperature down.
