The remedy for methyl alcohol poisoning is ingestion of ethyl alcohol to the
point of intoxication. One problem is that line moves in funny ways as you
get closer to it...he he he.

Most often necessary for accidental ingestion. I haven't heard or know of
anyone knowingly drinking methanol.

In the the old bootleg days, if my history serves me well, methanol or
common name wood alcohol (a by-product of wood decomposition) was found in
the 'white lightning' being consumed and bottled illegally during the
depression.

Whenever I've found myself one beer too many, I just tell my wife "I'm
fighting blindness, would you like to help me?"
