You are absolutely right, Rudy. I am off tomorrow, so this is Friday to
me. Therefore I will share this:

I once had to deal with the following incidents concerning the 75%
IPO/25% de-ionized water used in an Omegameter at a place I used to
work:
1. One operator got very drunk and very sick because he took an enema
with the IPO. They had to carry him out to the ambulance.
2. One operator was fired when caught using the Omegameter to wash
circuit boards.
3. One 3rd-shift operator was fired when caught using the Omegameter to
wash his carburetor (he forgot it in the tank when he left).
4. One employee was fired when observed dipping Kimwipes into the IPO
and taking an alcohol bath. She was rubbing her face and neck, her arms,
and her legs. She stated that it helped her cool off at the end of her
shift, and she felt clean when finished.
5. One operator was fired because she was caught at the Omegameter
cleaning the finger-polish off of her false nails. She was using the
ultrasonic wash next to it to do the final rinse.
The components she was supposed to be cleaning were in the ultrasonic
wash with her nails.

At least these people are somewhat entertaining.

out there

Now, where to get the methanol? VWR, Fischer, Columbus chemicals. Get
the least expensive, all grades increase price significantly because the
contaminants are detrimental for analytical chemistry uses.

--> Five gallons of industrial grade methanol, purchased from whoever
sells you virtually any other chemicals, should cost less than any
quantitity purchased from lab supply houses... it costs us $0.45/gallon
in 55 gallon drums.

I know it's not friday yet, but for trivias sake, what is the emergency
response for methyl alcohol poisoning?

--->I don't believe there is any treatment for stupidity.....
