Hi Mike-

Thanks for your response.

I don't have one specific area of concern and was pinging to see if anyone
would respond pointing out a significant difference between the two
materials, or stating a specific reason NOT to use it.

Best Regards,
-Chris

Chris: Probably no reason for concern. The 77 is a good mask and I would
not
expect you to see any change over issues. We use the 77 in a lot of fairly
stringent applications and have had no problems from assembly or end
performance.
Of course the mask will only be as good as the person applying it so you
want to make sure if this is a new mask for the fabricator they know what
they are doing and have their processes under control before changing over.

You do not state what your concerns are i.e. electrical properties,
physical
properties, mechanical etc. If you can identify possible concerns it would
be easier to provide a more definitive answer.

Subject: [TN] LPI soldermask switch

Speaking of soldermask...

A supplier is switching from Learonal 5900 to Probimer 77. Any reason I
should be concerned?

I've looked at the datasheets for both and am not alarmed by anything, but
am pretty sure I don't know enough to BE alarmed by anything and would
appreciate some reassurance from the gurus out there.

Thanks,
-Chris
