        Hi Blair:
I have tried to find a cleaner to cleans one of our new boards as well for a while with no success. Even tried oil and other solvents. There used to be a cleaner that smelled bad but cleaned any board, even if the markings have been left on for years. After the board was cleaned with this cleaner, the colors ran down in the form of dust by touching them. I can not find it. I supposed it has been banned. If you do, let me know.
        Regards,
        Ramon

Subject: [TN] [NTC] - (Sort of) Need help from the chemical gurus out
there

I thought this would be a good question for Friday, not related to lead in solder or anything similar....

We have a training / breakout room with large white boards on the walls. The standard cleaner works OK for removing the markings left on for days or weeks, but some still remains. Is there a better cleaning solution (not likely, you would think that the experts in white board markers would know how to remove this stuff if it sits dried for a while) that will clean these boards?

Second question - can the white boards be waxed periodically to improve their cleaning performance? What type of wax would be best?

Happy Friday,

Blair
