        Hi Ken:
                   Have encounter similar situations of delamination only on terminals whose barrels are much larger than the average TH. Same thing boards that have been process for several years all of a sudden delaminate. It either has to do with the manufacturer using the bits too long ( it does not happen to every terminal, it saves time ) or they are using cheaper material to get back the profit lost due to inflation. If the bits are used too long and loose its sharpness, instead of cutting, it explodes out of the last layer. Similar to what happens when drilling plywood. FR4 Material is different and bit may not burst out, but it may stress the last layer bond. Heat will cause it to separate. As long as the delamination does not violate minimum electrical spacing, it is not a defect.
        Regards,
        Ramon

Hi Steve and Ramon,

I'll answer Ramon's question first;
"Is this the first time that you run this board through the wave?"
No, we've run them before and had much better results. We will give
baking them a try.

Steve, they are not pressed in hard at all. They are in hard enough to
keep the perpendicular through the wave process but you can still turn
them with your fingers after they are swaged.

The holes are actually quite large, .191".
