Dear all,

Maybe the why is deeper than we think and, if so, I sincerely hope it is
for the well being of the humanity. Maybe the political rulers are smarter
and more altruistic than we think and banning the Pb in electronics is
just the pilot project in banning lead in all (you know, we see how
banning works in electronics and then we take on accumulators).

One thing is for sure, Pb is more related to humanity than we believe. It
exists everywhere and we interact with it on a daily basis. Is this good,
or bad? Medically speaking, having more than a certain level in one's
blood is bad for the health and that's a fact. Now I have a very
interesting dilemma: lead killed Beethoven and made his life miserable,
but, most likely, this condition sharpened his genius. Probably if he had
not been poisoned, his art would have been less powerful. So he suffered
from Pb, but we benefit from his suffering!

So the why still remains... Now it hits us in the electronics, tomorrow it
will hit other fields, but do we really have to do it at all?
