Well, we're emptying our 1800-lb Electrovert Electra solder pot
today.

If you remember, I posted about a week ago of our maintenance
breaking off one of the wave former hold-down bolts doing his weekly
maintenance, and the only way to fix it is to empty the pot.

I remember not too long ago, a post asking about how does one go
about emptying a wave solder pot. So I though I'd take some pictures
of our little task today, and how I go about doing it, then  post them on

Like I said a while back, I don't use a pot drain, I feel they're just too
dangerous. As you can see in Emptying Pot 2, our pot does have a
drain, but I won't use it.

I just set-up a nice sturdy table, with a piece of metro rack shelf on top
of it, then using "Bakers Secret" loaf pans (you have to use "Bakers
Secret" loaf pans, the teflon coating is bullet proof!), carefully ladle
the
solder into the pans to create your solder ingots.

You can see the first beauty in the first picture. I'll post a picture when
we're
done.
