Hi Vladimir,

Thanks for your response. The software only has to communicate with the
WDM capture driver. From what I understand, most capture cards use the
same driver. All the software I have tried out does work to some extent
it just lacks the functionality I am looking for.

I've thought about screen capture as well, but that would require the
user to open up an image editing program and make some altercations to
the picture. I will keep looking.

Hi Joe,

it sounds really weird. Usually all of them have a snap shop feature. If
yours doesn't then it may be tricky, since a software has to communicate
with the card you bought. You can use a screen capture feature, but I'm
not sure about the resolution you going to get. Have you contacted the
board manufacturer? They might be able to help you to find a way
around.

Subject: [TN] Video Capture

Hi everyone. I recently purchased a AverMedia PCI capture card to work
with a CCTV camera we have that is hooked up to a microscope for taking
pictures of defects in circuit boards and what not. The software that
came with the card only does video capture... no single frame capturing
abilities at all. I've been looking all over for some free/cheap
software but can't find anything that suits my needs. A wide range of
people will be using the capture software so I need something relatively
simple. Any suggestions?
