From what I see on the news on an almost daily basis, the material will
not have a chance to decompose from the UV in southern California. The
house will probably: 1) Slide down a hill 2)Be destroyed by wildfires
3)Be crushed in an earthquake, long before the sun has a chance to do
anything to it.
Why do they build houses on the side of a pile of wet sandstone anyway?
Doesn't take much of a lightbulb to figure out that even with high land
values, not being able to sleep at night for fear of one of the above
happening just isn't worth it.

...and you can etch the copper so it fakes bricks or oregon pine or what
you like. Question is for how many years such a house will withstand the
UV in southern california?

Typically, from memory, it is around 0.2 Watts/Meter/degree centigrade.

In other words it would make excellent house insulation.............8-)

Happy Wednesday to all,

I have a customer asking for the thermal conductivity constant for FR-4.
I have seen this spec'd on some specialty laminates, Rogers, GIL for
instance, but not on any "FR-4" laminates. Would this spec likely be
available from the laminate supplier? If not, why? Tell me why I see
it on the big $$$ high frequency laminates but not the "cheap stuff".

TIA

John Parsons
