Hi Joe, BrianE, IPC LF Listservers,
Yes, the continued use of lead in cooking, drinking, lighting is quite
interesting. I didn't check out CA-JohnB's note commenting about the
possible eating conditions at the IPC/Soldertec May conference in Barcelona
yet I can imagine John was correct. As engineers we would call this
eating/drinking a Direct immediate Effect which should be attacked by sound
scientists before more long range effects like Pb in landfills.
BTW, at present, with the information I know about I don't think lead in
some of these products is causing us health problems. I believe that if
we/they add eggs or other sulfur or sulphur products to the brew or recipe
we might have problems with elevated Pb in our blood.
(Willing to learn, if I am right or left)
Of interest is that once lead, probably wrongfully, was used as a medicinal.
