Hi Marc, , IPC LF Listservers,

Germany passed a law in Feb/Mar 2005 to transpose WEEE and RoHS into their
Nation State laws. I have just a few questions about "How things are going"
since we are now very close to 13August. The link for the law was provided
by Marc D and I will give the IPC link page for Marc's note later.

I am going to start this with two questions and then hopefully later today,
tonight, ask the remainder of my questions for Germany RoHS/WEEE
knowledgable persons.

Q1>The first question I have is Section 9 (2) 4 =>

Wheelie Bin knowledge transfer to DE Citizens

 How is Germany doing this. TV advertisements, Radio adds, what?
 How is it working from your engineering opinion?

Q2>Has Germany back peddled for logistics reasons?

 According to CMP's Green Supply Line Germany will not be forcing
 producers to conform to many of the basic elements of their law by
 the 13August2005 deadline. Producers had a lot to do and should
 be mostly done with some major items by now.

 This link should get you to the CMP article.
 (Please remember to cut and paste the below before you go to the web
 ( since sometimes the link is broken apart by the wwweb)
