Now, where to get the methanol? VWR, Fischer, Columbus chemicals. Get the
least expensive, all grades increase price significantly because the
contaminants are detrimental for analytical chemistry uses.
--> Five gallons of industrial grade methanol, purchased from whoever sells you virtually any other chemicals, should cost less than any quantitity purchased from lab supply houses... it costs us $0.45/gallon in 55 gallon drums.
I know it's not friday yet, but for trivias sake, what is the emergency
response for methyl alcohol poisoning?
