It appears the merry pranksters are alive and well. Of course, none of this
could or would be done today without fear of serious legal reprisals and lots
of money for pain and suffering (with the lawyer getting 50% or any proceeds).

It reminded me, however, of a more harmless event some 30 plus years ago. I
came in early (about 3AM) on 3rd shift at a PCB shop I was working at one
winter day to run analysis on some copper plating baths that were being carbon
treated. I wander out to the plating area to find 3 of the platers sitting in a
400 gallon plating tank (post rinsing) and refilled with RO water which had been
heated to a comfortable temperature. It was pretty comical sight.

Needless to say they were told clean the tank again after the major "bits" of
"organic contamination" were removed and not to repeat the activity.
