        Hi Bob:
It seems that you have a dewetting problem. In one a little extreme case, we had to scrub the material with a sharp tool to remove the oxide to wet the part. It was a little labor intensive.
        Regards,
        Ramon

Reading your question precisely, I would answer, all of the wire in contact
with the terminal pin has to be covered with solder. If, after dipping it
into a solder pot some of it has dewetted, the dewetting criteria would
apply. Treat the wrap of transformer wire per IPC A-610 section 6. Also,
section 4.8 of IPC-A-620 should address your situation perfectly.

Subject: [TN] Wire wrap update

Hi all,

Sorry for the crummy description of the problem. What I am really asking
about is : I have a transformer wire that wraps around a pin and is dipped
in a solder pot. How much of the wire has to be covered with solder. There
is one turn of the transformer wire wrapped around the pin.

Sorry Bob
