Jerry,

You missed the stream of e-mails on Tant cap failures and voltage...

You should be using 50 volt caps....
You will find a fairly high failure rate on 35V caps run at 25V input where
there is a possibility power rail bounce...

You need to voltage and temp de-rate the Tants...

I use the AVX reference specifications...

We have recently had a rash of tantalum capacitor failures, where the
capacitors on an input filter fail to a high impedance state. These are
35V Kemet T491X series cap's, and the failure have been found at first
power up at 24 volts. Is there any known issues with these cap's? Are we
doing something wrong, like handling, design, other?
