Bob,
I will suggest IPC-A-610D, again.  6.7.9 discusses the number of wraps
and the preamble to 6.10 discusses the amount of solder.  Now this is
for terminals and you are talking about a component.  You may need to be
looking at JEDEC standards, which I know zippy-do-dah about.

Sorry for the crummy description of the problem. What I am really asking
about is : I have a transformer wire that wraps around a pin and is
dipped in a solder pot. How much of the wire has to be covered with
solder. There is one turn of the transformer wire wrapped around the
pin.
