At risk of exposing my ignorance, an event I should be getting used to by now...

Doesn't SIR equipment "read-out" in milligrams of Sodium Chloride?

If so, it occurs that you could do your own calibrating by simply putting in fresh test solution, and then adding your own carefully measured Sodium Chloride.. and seeing what they read?
You might even be able to get some unwitting chemical vendor, like one of those in California, to make you up a standard solution of Sodium Chloride, so you simply add a known volume to your test juice.
Or am I confused on the SIR function?

TechNetters,
Back from the dead!

Do any of you know where I can get SIR equipment calibrated?

I have six SIRometers and Cookson/Speciality Coating Systems no longer
support them! I also have one set of equipment built up from several
pieces of individual Keithley equipment.

Also, does anyone know where I can buy a set of NIST-traceable high
value resistors (E6 - E12)?
Thanks.
