TechNetters,

Does anyone have experience with placing DI/DT Inc's SQ24S series
modules?

This is a DC-DC power supply module (small, double-sided circuit card)
which has 'I-Beam' terminals at each end. Is anyone installing these in
an automated process, and if so, what tooling are you using?

To complicate things, I am applying thermal conductive paste between the
pwb and the two magnetics of the module. This is holding the module in
its placed position during reflow, resulting in many defective solder
joints, either at the pwb/terminal interface or at the module/terminal
interface (which has minimal solder). Any suggestions for a reliable
process?

Thanks,
Ben Gumpert
