Heavy-duty nickel /nickel steel are commonly welded to batteries as terminal
strips for better conductivity and corrosion resistance.  We quadruple
spot-weld each cell terminal with a dual-pulse spot welder.



We have never welded to AA batteries.  [AA have a fairly short life and are
not rechargeable, bla, bla, bla.  If we did, we'd probably just use solder.
Although, we think AA have a solid cathode, polycarbonmonofluoride or
manganese dioxide, like a solid cathode lithium battery.  So they should
take weld.] We have welded to:

* Solid cathode lithium batteries [but not liquid cathode]

* Li-ion, Li-Polymer, Ni-MH, and NiCd
