When we were making the Contaminometer, last century, we used a selected 
Rohm & Haas Amberlite MB2. The new stuff was no use, so the local 
regenerating station tested each batch and they always put aside a 100 l 
drum for us when they had a batch which met our specs (reached <0.01 
µS-cm in closed circuit with a 50% IPA/water mix, had no detectable 
non-ionics in the test solution, had at least 99.99% intact beads and 
had a capacity of n g NaCl for a given volume - can't remember what n 
was, as it is now 14 years since we hived off the Contaminometer 
Division to a third party).
