I admit to being totally Anglo/American bilingual, so I know that in the
UK, when told to "Keep your pecker up", I am being encouraged to not let
my problems get on top of me and to try to be optimistic, rather than in
the USA, where... oh, never mind!

Hi Techies

Here in olde England, a cat is called a pussy.

As George Bernard Shaw once famously remarked, "Two nations divided by a
common language". Another example involves the US word eraser that we
call.....read on:

I am also reminded of a friend who was seconded to a major facility in
Illinois to work in the drawing office (remember them?) Finding himself
in need of correcting a mistake leant over to a lady colleague and
innocently
asked: "Do you mind if I borrow your rubber?"

Noticing her glazed expression then added: "It's alright, I'll bring it
back when I've finished."

...and the pen, having writ, moves on.....

Happy Friday everyone
