Hi everyone

If I must just intercede for a moment...

I may have been around too long but, I used to fly regularly in the days
when people smoked in aeroplanes and - heavens to betsy - they were drinking
alcohol at the same time with a flash point of -1DegC in an oxygen enriched
atmosphere...

...and yet nothing every happened.

I have to say that in over 40 years of travel all over the world, people in
the "West" have become paranoid, bureaucracy has mushroomed and folk in
government consider that the populace are completely unable to think for
themselves and must be controlled.

We are not all dim-witted idiots, but we surely have quite a few of them we
must deal with since the bean counters decided to rid us of experienced
middle and senior management leaving us with folks lacking common sense.
