You can still fly over, but you're in a bunch of trouble if you crash
there.....

Bill,

Does this mean that if US military aircraft have
lead in them then we can't fly them over Europe?

Thank you,

Subject: [TN] USAF Airworthiness Advisory concerning Lead-Free solders...

Hi All!

I thought that some of you may be interested in a USAF Airworthiness
Advisory (AA-05-01)concerning the use of Lead-Free solders...especially if
you're building any hardware, or doing any repair or upgrades on any USAF
Aircraft (manned or unmanned).

This Advisory hasn't been flowed-down to us yet by any of our customers. It
was dated May 9, 2005, so that may explain why it hasn't yet reached
us...but I'm sure it will. I actually got this from one of the
engineers here who got this from an associate of his that works at NORDAM
here in Tulsa.

I've posted the *.PDF on my page at: http://www.stevezeva.homestead.com
look at USAFSolderAdv.PDF. The distribution is public, so I'm not posting
anything that's privileged.

But this is another example of what a debacle this transition to
"Lead-Free" has become...

Kind regards,
