Although not an issue with the nickel stabilized tin/copper (SN100C) alloy,
FCT offers our SN100C customers who have converted an unprotected existing pot,
a free test program that analyzes the pot initially every week until an
element history is developed. The testing is then extended to monthly but we feel
with the requirements for lead in RoHS, the testing will have to be no longer
than monthly to be able to certify joints as lead free. We are monitoring
closely the lead, copper, and iron and expect the dissolved iron to be elevated if
there is any corrosion occurring.
To date, no issues in over 30 pots in North America.

Regards,
Bob Gilbert
