Hey Harvey, IPC LF Listservers,
Geez Harvey, I too am an IEEE CP&MT member and have attended many meetings
up here in the Boston Chapter. Small World right? It sounds like you out
West in Santa Clara are going to have a superbe meeting in June. (I am
envious). Ask lots of intelligent questions, pry stuff and have fun.
I of course know that Soldertec is a proponent and protector of tin. Even
so their web site has some good information and KayN has been great.
Beyond Tin Technology, Soldertec, I have sadly seen that many companies and
industry groups are putting on a lead free (Pb-free) all is good or better
face.
One of the things to remember is that once things get pretty good or stable
in technology new kids on the block think they can ticker with everything
and that everything they do will be an improvement. It's human nature to
repeat mistakes once learned by others and then to relearn and refine.
Yours in Engineering, Dave
